Imperial Castle of Nuremberg

Church of our Lady Nuremberg

The Church of our Lady was built on the initiative of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor located at the today`s market place. At the stroke of 12 noon, the seven nobles (the archbishops of Mainz, Cologne, and Trier, the King of Bohemia, the Duke of Saxony, the Margrave of Brandenburg and the Count Palantine on the Rhine) appear and show their reverence to the Emperor.

Zoo Nuremberg

The zoo of Nuremberg offers a wonderful time for children and adults. With an area of about 70 ha it belongs to the largest zoological gardens in Europe. A special part is the dolphin lagoon and and the aqua park which was constructed in a nature-orientated way.

Toy museum

Nuremberg has always been a toy city. Behind the Renaissance façade of a Nuremberg town residence the entire variety of historic toys is exhibited. Its comprehensive collection spans the time from antiquity to the present day, with a strong focus on the past two centuries.

Transport museum Nuremberg

In 1899 the Royal-Bavarian railway museum opened. Today, as company museum of the Deutsche Bahn AG, together with the Museum of Communication, it forms the Nuremberg Traffic Museum. There are about 40 historic rail vehicles exibited, among them the legendary "Adler" (Eagle) locomotive. In addition to numerous special exhibitions and events, the museum's main attraction is the "Experience Area" of 1,000 square metres.

Christkindlesmark in Nuremberg

The Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg is one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets of the world. Ever year the Nürnberger Christkind declares the market open and then you can enjoy the special atmosphere with smells of mulled wine and rum punch, roasted almonds, Nuremberg bratwurst and gingerbread.
